COH @ 7:30 -(Regular meeting starts at 7PM) The spring Court of Honor is this Wednesday’s troop meeting. We will review all advancements and awards the scouts have achieved since Fall 2011. There will also be a Friends of Scouting presentation. FOS raises funds from with scouting families to support BSA in our local area. FOS has helped pay the costs of the town mandated new septic system and tent platforms at Camp Squanto that all scouts use at summer camp.
There will be light refreshments served, families are invited. Full Class A uniforms please. A scout is clean.
Bottle Drive- please bring your deposit bottles this week, we need at least $20 more in bottles to meet a $100 scout donation to the Camp Squanto Dining Hall building fund. That is 200 more bottles, about 10 more per scout. Please make the effort to collect from friends, neighbors to get enough bottles with deposits. A scout is thrifty.
Eagle COH- The Eagle Court of Honor for Shawn Flanagan and Matt Ohrenberger is Saturday, May 5th at 5PM at St. Peter’s parish center in downtown Plymouth. Please RSVP to Nancy Flanagan @ email@example.com
how many will be attending. We are looking for all scouts to participate in this event. We will need scouts to arrive early to help set up and rehearse for the ceremony. A scout is helpful.
TroopTrip- The Troop trip is next Saturday, April 28th. We will be leaving West at 9 SHARP heading to Boston and the Freedom Trail, and rock climbing. I have 28 scouts signed up for this trip. If you have not filled out the permission slip for rock climbing, please see the attached PDF file, complete and bring this Wednesday with final payment. Cost of trip is $66. We will brown bag lunch on the trail and stop to eat at a restaurant for dinner before rock climbing. Wear comfortable footwear and watch the weather to plan on dress. A scout is prepared.
Crime Prevention MB- This merit badge will be offered over two Wednesdays, May 9th and 16th. Please sign up this Wednesday and attend and participate in both meetings to complete the badge. A scout is brave.
Camping- We will be camping at Camp Squanto on 18-20 May. First year scouts will be planning and cooking patrol meals, earning Toten’ Chip and we will be bike riding in the state forest. We are going to need family support to get scout’s bikes to CP Squanto and will build a logistical plan the next few weeks. This will be the last trip before summer camp, July 22- 28th. Time to start getting health forms together, forms are here-
Health forms are good for two years, if you had a new one last year, it is good for this year.
